Texas-based precision telescope repair and restoration. We've been aligning optics to diffraction limits since the first star-test told us we could do better.
Lone Star Observatories was founded on one principle: every telescope deserves to perform at its design limit. Most scopes leaving the factory — and nearly all used instruments — don't. Mirrors drift out of figure. Cells wobble. Focusers develop slop. Star tests reveal problems invisible to the eye that cost you contrast, resolution, and aperture.
We fix that. With a full optical bench, star-test verification on every instrument, and opticians who treat collimation as craft — not a checkbox — we return instruments that perform the way they were designed to.
Every scope leaving our bench has passed a live star test. If you're not satisfied within 30 days, we'll re-service it at no charge.
telescope.repair is the repair and restoration arm of Lone Star Observatories — a Texas-based astronomy platform building tools for observers, astrophotographers, and the scopes that get them there.
